Trillium
Catesbaei is one of the most distinctive and beautiful trillium. It
prefer an upland well drained habitat although I have observed some
some of the finest on rich sandy bottom stream banks. Color varies from
white to rich rose pink and fades to pink. Petals and sepals are highly
recurved and contain highly protruding bright yellow anthers. Leaves
have petioles about 1/2 inch long. The photographs demonstrate great
diversity in petal width and color and the bright yellow anthers.
